Hello all,

two days ago I encountered the following issues:

1. The 'Windows 7 Firewall' was completely inactive and could not be reactivated

2. 'Bitdefender protection' was suddenly offline, message was: 'System is at risk'

After scanning with different virus scanners (even with virus scanners from boot cd) I could not find any malware on my system. In addition I tried every technical hint I coud find at microsoft and other websites to solve the problem and restart the firewall, but had no luck at all.

Finally I checked the Bitdefender history and checked when it last was running without problems and when the first protection issue did start. I realized that it was on the same day when I noticed that the 'Plarium Launcher' has installed an update.

So I took the chance and uninstalled the Plarium software completely via Windows 7 System software uninstaller. After that I rebooted my system and guess what:

Bitdefender protection was active again as well as the Window 7 Firewall. So the question is:

DOES THE PLARIUM SOFWARE SOMEHOW DISABLE THE WINDOWS FIREWALL  (and probalbly Bitdefender?)
