You're **** out of luck lol, I've submitted a ticket for this myself as well, and ton of other people have also submitted this issue. So far the support staff has been claiming that it's working as intended.

I have this issue as well and opened a ticket about it today.  I have two theories:

#1 - Someone else gets the credit for this one.  The URL used for the "referral install" appears to be a generic URL, with no way to track back to the referring account. 

#2 - When I did the install/account creation on the referral account, I did so through the BlueStacks emulator.  Could this possibly mess things up since it wasn't done directly through a native Android OS?

Hopefully we will hear something back from the dev team on this, soon.  I would assume that this condition would be easy for them to reproduce in-house.
