Specifically, I'm wondering about the interaction between [Selfless Defender / Bulwark / Guardian Set] and Mortu-Macaab's passive (Has a 20% chance to unlock a secret skill, Peril, for 1 turn when attacked). Does the shared damage constitute an attack?
I dont know myself. But Reddit says no.
I remember testing this quite a bit in another thread (https://plarium.com/forum/en/raid-shadow-legends/674_game-discussion/611641_guardian-gear-and-vogoth/) and came to the conclusion that the guardian set does not proc Mortu's passive. It needs to be direct attacks that trigger it. I cannot say for certain if Selfless Defender or Bulwark function the same but I'd hazard a guess to say they would
