How do you become a Whale...
So, ofcourse I know what a Whale is. Someone who spends a lot of cash every day/month/year to games with (micro)transactions. From what point you become a Whale is debatable. There are "charts". But lets say it is 250 dollar per month and up.
My big question is I guess, how do you justify that. I do understand that fun is priceless and such in some sense. I do realize that hobbies cost money as well. I do. And Iam sure those are worth it somehow. But as someone who has for example been playing World of Warcraft for years. That 12 dollar per month was so worth it. So much content, expensions etc. So spending money on games is not weird to me either.
But how do you justify for yourself that spending hundreds (or thousands) of dollars per month on a game with very very limited content is ok. And I have spend some money on this game. But I kinda feel dirty after those transactions. I am in the luxury position that I have "some spare cash" and can miss some. I have a good job, can buy what I need and still cannot convince myself that it is worth for example to pay 25 dollars on a shard that gives you an 8% chance on a legendary. Or 25 dollar for a book that upgrades 1!!!!! skill level. How do you justify that.
And to be clear. Iam asking from curiousity. Iam not trying to judge someone. It is your money, your life, your fun and investement. I just cannot phatom how you can justify it for yourself. Even if I was a miljonair i would feel like the investement is so not worth its money so to say. Let me know how you come to terms to yourself to pay way to much for the content you get. Really curious :)
