I have read online that they go to your inbox; however, the Event details say they expire 24 hrs after the end of the Event. I would like to save the energy from the current Artifact Enhancement Event to use in the future, but I certainly don't want to lose it if it doesn't go to the inbox.

Event rewards don't go to you Inbox, they are immediately put where they belong - Gems to your Gems count, Energy to your Energy count. You cannot save those for later.And you have to claim them or you lose them

I know from experience that the XP Days will go to your inbox with a 6 day usage countdown. I left one unclaimed last week and that is what happened. That is the only Event Reward I have been willing to experiment with. Unclaimed rewards def go to your inbox. That's why it's good practice to avoid letting your inbox go full.hmm, I hope this is true... but I really thought you lost unclaimed. Did they change this?
I have now experimented with and XP Day and some Energy. I did not lose either. They both went to my In-Box with a 6-Day usage window 24 hours after the Event finished See the included screenshots for reference:

I believe that Advanced Quest Rewards must be claimed just like the Daily Quest and Daily Playtime. I don't think I have ever left a Daily, Weekly or Monthly Quest Reward go unclaimed; however, I have left Arena Tokens (Daily Playtime) and Tag Arena Tokens (Advanced Quest) go unclaimed, and both of those items DID NOT go to my Inbox. They vanished.
