They were unlocked. I tried many times and the game did not do anything after i clicked 'Sacrifice'.
These champions are Sorceress, Rocktooth and Spirithost. They are on the same rank as the champion i want to upgrade.
Just want to add that it works fine on the pc-app for me. So could be a phone problem?
Or maybe a problem where you would get multiple warnings, like rares or champions with items.

You managed to get the new update on the pc app? How did you do that? Mine refuses to open saying I need to update, but then if you click update it shuts down the app and does nothing whatsoever. And not sure how you can force the update without opening the game...
same problem with Executioner level 50 cannot be selected to sacrifice. No error and champion not locked. Other champions can be selected. Appreciate your help.

Try closing down you plarium client. Notice it just minimizes if you click "x". So exit the program in the right corner of windows.I did that earlier and it still did nothing, but now this time it's updating. Maybe it just starts at a different time for different people...
Are you guys planning to fix this anytime soon? this is so frustrating that after so much effort, you cannot upgrade level 50 champion.same problem with Executioner level 50 cannot be selected to sacrifice. No error and champion not locked. Other champions can be selected. Appreciate your help.

I would like to know why i cannot sacrifice rare champions that can be used to fuse another champion. It prompted me to Cancel or Sacrifice and i chose the latter, but nothing has happened from there. Is it a bug?Guys, I had the same problem. But it went well after I removed the items in all my champs to be sacrificed. Hope this helps.

Bug not solved, this is just a workaround.
There should be two separate warnings. One when sacrificing a champion with gear on them and one when sacrificing a champion that can be fused.
It seems to me that when a champion is both part of fusion and has gear on it you only get the fusion warning but not the gear warning and you cannot sacrifice it even if you accept the warning.
The cost of the workaround of course is trivial as it does not cost anything but time to manually destroy the gear you were going to lose by sacrificing the champion anyway, but fixing the bug could make it easier and less confusing.
