Protection Gear Question

If you put a toon like Dorothy or Zaharis in Protection Gear, do the Protection Gear effects apply when they steal buffs & then spread them to the team?

98% sure they do NOT. spreading it doesn;t count as casting it. Pretty sure we tested this way back when Loki came out.

But someone let me know if it turns out i'm mistaken

You know, I've been having this same internal discusion myself.

For instance, the relationship between Nick and Noel. When Noel casts Invigorating Chill on Nick; he then casts Goodwill, that triggers an AOE buff. My Noel is in 9-piece protection and Nick is in a speed set. So, would it be better to switch their gear sets around? Because "who" is casting the spell, Noel or Nick? Because it would seem that Nick is the actual caster even though Noel is the one triggering it.

I don't know if I have ever tested it out before or not to see.

Nick is the caster, put him in protection

I have my Noelle in feral just to start with block debuffs, for back when bombs where big in the meta, and I haven't bothered rebuilding her since

Definitely want the 9 pcs Protection on Nick. Having it on Noelle does not trigger it.

I just have Noelle built for speed (366) & Res (665)

Thanks for doing that.  I appreciate it.  I didn't want to regear if it wasn't gonna work.
