Well, I feel like that's more of a personal question than a specific answer.

I looked at the pinned promo codes above and it looks to be current as it has Pelops available and he was a recent featured chase champion. With that said, of the 11 champs you can get, all of them are good in certain areas. Even the epic champ Mordecai has areas where he excels at. But, you'll run into him eventually from opening shards than trying to get a legend champ.

Of the other 10 champs, I would say that Sun Wukong, Cheshire Cat, Ultimate Deathknight, Pelops, and Grand Oak Padraig are probably the best. However, again, it depends on where you want to focus at. 2 are good DPS, 2 are good tanks, and the other is a good leader/healer. I suppose since one has a res/heal package, Padraig would be a good beginner champ and will last you through to end game. However, you can't predict RNG and you might very well get several good healers and struggle to get a high DPS champ. Not to mention that all of them come from different factions. My main account is 6 years old and I'm still using 3 epic champs in hard Sylvan Faction Wars because the game refuses to give me something nice in that faction.

I will add 2 more things to this topic. 1.) Look for codes from an influencer. Unlike Plarium champ codes, their codes tend to have 2 or more champs (up to 6 I think?) that you earn by leveling up your account. Shop around and see what you can find. 2.) New player codes ONLY work on accounts less than 72 hours old AND under level 20. If you play for a good solid day, you can reach level 20 in less than 24 hours, so just beware.
