Yeah if nothing else gives us a legendary shadowkin reviver other than Gamuran's passive. 

Shadowkin will move up to 4 revivers. 

• Kinagshi (Epic, single revive 4turn CD)
• Sachi (Epic, Passive Revives 1 ally whenever she kills an enemy)
• Gamuran (Legendary, Passive Revives when an enemy is killed or a Block Revive is placed on enemy) 
• Yukimasa (Legendary, 3turn CD revives 1 ally or all allies if kills someone)

Think that is all of them.

As long as he slaps will be a great new reviver for them. If you could make Sachi slap she would be a great reviver as well, but I've only pulled 2 of her so can't even +2 her yet. She's considered a support though so her base stats are pretty low even a lvl 60 fully awakened. At least Yukimasa is considered an attack champion. 

If he can hit hard enough even though he doesn't bring anything but damage and revives he could be decent for Hydra with Mikage for the aoe A1 spam. He gets even more A1's if he loses a turn due to Provoke or Fear from Hydra. Nothing else is brought though.

Sachi will never be a nuker, but I used her passive revive to get 3 stars on regular FW back in the day.

Being the Holidays, I am fairly certain I'll burn the extra shards in the SR to get the Epic so I can skip some events...probably skip both Gear Hunters and some Dungeons.

I do miss the days when fusions used already existing toons that you could potentially just pull out of the vault and level.

Will the fusion overlap CvC on 12/30?

Yes. You can fuse on Tuesday for the points. 

Except that there won't be a CVC next week due to the holiday.

Probably No.  

Do you need a reviver to advance in Hard Shadowkin FW?  That will be one of his biggest uses.    

Thats where ill use him most likely.  Him + Mikage should control the hell outta everything.
