Oh, duchess makes it easy, 'cause her a1 puts a shield on herself AND 1 ally

Duchess + ONE good poisoner. Urost, Orn or venomage are all good choices, assuming they have the acc to land (355 according to stages tool)

Lock duchess to her a1 for the 3rd stage. you don;t want her reviving whoever you used to nuke the first 2 waves. You don;t want her to put out a continual heal that the boss can steal

And if you're using Urost, you want him getting hit, so not veiled.

EDIT:  Duchess places her shield on the champ with lowest HP.  Urost and Venomage are built with 70k+ HP.  Is there another shield option?

There's quite a few ways to tackle scarab now with bloodshield accessories, good shield champs, max HP hitters, etc.

I had mine in triple immortal, roughly 95K hp, about 170ish speed. (rebuilt him for event dungeon for now)

As with Bommmal, I'd ask if you want to farm it for Forge Materials or just clear it once?

The slow Urost is fine for clearing, but if you want to farm it, it is a lot faster to use Destroy Max HP Toons, Destroy Gear and Max HP Hitters.  My Scarab 100 team is Marius, 2X Gnut, Skull Lord & Padraig.  Runs take 90 seconds.     

Who do you have that Destroys Max HP?

Scarab has 225 speed but is getting a turn before champs with higher speed at the start of round 3.  ????

I have Nais, Rotos, Skull Lord, Urost and some epics.  I have Gnut and Padraig but no Marius.  

All the builds I found for Scarab said to use poisons, not destroy Max HP.  If this works better then I am game.  

Destroy Max HP brings down the shield and allows you to deal full damage.  

I scanned your list above earlier, but I did not see Skull Lord or I would've recommended him already. 

Skull Lord is SS Tier for taking out Scarab quickly because of the change they made to his passive a couple of years back:  

Horrific Foe:  When attacked, destroys the attacker's MAX HP by 5%. Destroys the MAX HP of Bosses by 2.5% instead (except the Scarab King, whose MAX HP will be destroyed by 5%). Cannot destroy a single enemy's MAX HP by more than 50%. Occurs once per attack. Has a 50% chance of placing a [True Fear] debuff on targets with any destroyed MAX HP.  

He does NOT need to be booked and does not even need a Rock Star Build....However, he does need to be tanky enough to take a bunch of hits, and whoever you are using for damage also needs to be able to survive long enough to get the job done.  By the time the run is over, I typically have only one Gnut still standing.   

I run w/o any shields, so every hit procs a CA from the Scarab and Skull Lord's Passive wipes his shield out quickly.  If your toons aren't strong enough for that, bring a shield toon or bloodshield accessories.  It will take a bit longer but will be just as effective and still faster than a Solo Urost.  

A Tanky Urost will work well in a Skull Lord team, and I used him there befroe I got Marius.  Once the shield is down, Scarab takes full damage from the poisons and the Gnut hits.

Here is a run w/Urost in place of Marius. This is the team I ran before I got Marius, and TBH, it is probably more stable with Urost, just a little slower.

IMO, you don't really want Nais or Rotos due to their affinity issues.

Armiger is the right affinity and has always been a strong accesible choice for dealing with Scarab.  You could easily sub in an Armiger for the 2nd Gnut.

If you are faster, Scarab is not taking a turn.  He is counterattacking because you are hitting him w/o having a shield up.  That is why solo Urost is such an accesible team.  He self-shields on his A1, so he always has a shield unless he does not have enough Res to keep it from being stolen by Scarab.   

Urost is 75k HP.  I would have to remove HP to build Res.  Valkyrie has a 3 turn shield on a 3 turn cooldown but she needs to go first.  

I will try Urost, Padraig, Gnut, Armiger and Skull Lord.

It was ugly and slow but it worked.  Urost kept throwing up a shield and strengthen.  But it was a WIN.

I am going to try a fast Valkyrie in place of Armiger and see if she can keep a shield up continuosly so the damage dealers can make it faster.
