went 1/5 I'm level 79

dunked on by level 100, 88, 88, 83 and 90.

the 2nd 88 was the bot and I still feel like I lost cuz i had to sit through a max timer....

maybe if there's ever a sequel don't lock the PVE behind the faux PVP and maybe there will be more mass appeal for a great game that's not filled with streamer alt accounts and bots.

Got put into my first season yesterday. 

Ran 20 arenas, ended up with 250 gold tabs and 15 points.  I did make it to 20 points...

Got dunked on by level 100s and level 99s.....

Great Hall bonuses should be removed from Live Arena. 

I'm level 79.....

So this coming from  a  VET of 5 yrs  playing Raid even before  LIVE arena was a  thing =  I H8 it in general but do not  flog it.

Why am I posting here - well  a  few  nights  ago I got up  at 3 am because my smoke detector in the house  needed a  new batery and chose  not to go back to bed = what else is there at 3am =  RAID. So I did just that

In the process  noticed I needed a  mision completed that required 10 arena   wins - but its LIVE arena.

I started  and went  9 straight WINS  in  a  row then losing my 10th  :(.   But  finished  the job with  a  follow up and got my mission complete  and advanced.   

I think the  learning curve  is to disconnect from the results and just do it    IMO

I just did it.  3/10.

How do I compete fairly with people with full Great Halls that I can't drop in the first round and for the most part I never get a first round?

I'm not waking up at 3 am, but I appreciate the sentiment. 

I get why a majority of commenters on socials are "I just quit 4 and win 1"  like that sells them short on the Area Bonuses and gear reworks.  

3/10 again today.

Bot battles are ridiculous.  This is how a bot battle should go

"Opponent found"  "Opponent has left the battle"

insanity I have to wait 

30 secs for first pick. 

60 secs for 2/3

60 secs for 4/5

30 secs for ban champ

30 secs for pick leader.

to get in the fight and usually it dies before the first turn but the odd time it gets a couple of turns and now i HAVE TO WAIT 15 SECS each

pick 2nd, lose without a turn. 

find new opponent.  It's the same player and they pick first again!!!!

Now that Free Gear Removal is a permanent thing, it's time to change all Arenas to remove Great Hall bonuses, creating an environment of champs + gear; which evens things out abit. 

Top Tiers should keep Great Hall Bonuses. 

In Live Arena especially, feeding level 80s to level 100s with max Great Hall is ridiculous. 

Even in my tag tier Silver 1 there is level 100s, 99s, etc...  

In Classic Gold 5, 7 of the top choices are level 100.

Champs + gear.  Let's get it. 

It seems there are various times that some battles get much easier.

yesterday after reset I ended up 5/10.

this morning I ran another 5.  3 100s I don't even get a turn, outmatched by an 83, game gives me a gimmie 69.

the variation shouldn't be time, it should strictly be Champs + Gear only.  

I go 3/4.  Not a single 100.  Lose 1 Win 3.  Get into Gold 2. 

Keep in mind, I think this is the best puzzle game and that's why I play.   For it's faults, it's still enjoyable but as Skratch said if you don't say anything, nothing can be done. 

So I'm 3/4 in Gold 2 and the game goes

"Here's a Level 100.  They gonna pick 4 Mythics, 2 with 5 star blessing and 1 with 2 blessing, plus a 6 blessing Leggo.  And they are going to max time every choice including their turns"

And I didn't get a turn....

Meehhhh... live arena matching stinks and they know it. Worst yet is when they gaslight you and they said they "improved" it several months ago. Look at the other posts here complaining about it. There's some prime examples of people posting about it. My record is 7 losses in a row. Somehow, when you get paired down, somehow the game matches you to a level 100 or a kraken and then you get put up again in the same bracket where the whales are.

I'm honestly surprised more people don't rage quit about it. I think Plarium's idea is that by doing this, it'll make you want to spend money to get better but instead it drives more people away.

then 3/5.  Got my 5.   Conspiracy theory says I should get crushed on 11.

Game matched me with my 10th match, that I won to go 3/5 and then the 11th was a repeat with the same opponent, and I won.

level 80 vs 92.

was really hoping to prove the theory.

went 0/5 in the prime time.  actually won 1, but it was probably the bot so felt like a loss. 

Some of these 100s I'm matched against I really feel I could win if I didn't suffer a Great Hall disadvantage. 

Both Live and Season Arenas should track by level until the top tier or 2.  Level 100s. Level 90-99. Level 70-89.  Levels below that.

Or get rid of Great Hall bonuses and make it fair.

bot battle was 10 minutes. 

whoever is in charge of these bot teams should be fired.   Bots should not have 192 season points.   That means they are killing players, when they should just be gimmies.

The points they display, both all time and season, are semi-random and will *almost* always be close to your own.

In other words, completely meaningless.

I experience the same in live arena bronze I. Hope Plarium will do something about it. It is about time.

Well see they have stopped pretending about live seasons being anything more than easy wins for high spenders. Point in case I have just over 400 season points, yet was twice matched with someone with over 900 points, may I add both times they let the counter run down, making the battle long and more tedious than it usually is. Oddly I lost both battles without even getting a turn, so zero understanding why they longed it out so much.

Should take out win 1 live battle from quests, or make it instant defeat when you run counter out. 

Even after over 3 years still no fixes to live arena... 20 mins matches... and idk whos this "brilliant" idea was to implement this matchmaking where people with 3000 overall rating can face players that have over 10k just becouse they have same seasonal rating...
