The premise on this is pretty simple and I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue. Before Siege starts I usually have to swap gear around on the Champions I'm using for Defense because I have them built for other content (Hydra, Chimera) and especially now with Faction Wars Hard Mode it is getting a bit ridiculous with the swaps.

So my suggested solution is: Designate a gearset that is automatically used during Siege without having to equip it. You can't double up on gear, like use the same gear on two champions to get stupid high speed or something but just a Preset of gear that Siege uses for the Defense Teams.

Also this will help a lot of the more casual folk (I know they aren't a priority) because most of them forget or don't change gear for Siege.

Finally, I know folk might say "Just use the 1 hour swap tokens from City" but the problem there is, you have to use TWO of the Tokens. One to swap before Siege starts and then several hours later after Matchmaking has finished you use the Second one.
