Hey all, how is Clan recruiting with everyone? 3+ months ago we had zero problems recruiting and always had 30 members. Now with increasing inactivity within our Clan we drop members and we use "promote clan" as previously but no one joins. I don't think our Clan is that nasty! What is your experience and can we try anything else?
Exactly the same with my clan. I wrote support but all they said was they dont control it. we would get up to 30 as well and have a lot of "come and go's". Have that many people really stopped playing or are already with a group?

In my experience, the Discord Recruitment Tab is dominated by constant spam from the big Clan Clusters. They have multiple people posting the same (or slightly altered) recrutiment posts multiple times per day. It is a clear abuse of ToS, but nothing is done about it.
Trying to use that to recruit as an indepensent clan is virtually useless. I run an independent Top 400 clan, and I have never gotten anyone from there.
If you are serious about recruitng, the best active technique that I have found is direct invites of Arena opponents, CvC opponents, Hydra Clash opponents....
If you see someone who looks like they could help your clan, send an invite. Some players will join your clan if they aren't happy where they are.

as for being virtually useless I'm not sure I agree, and until recently my clan - which is independent - wasn't even top 500. to be fair, i was posting on main server, hell hades etc. but i do think there's a lot of people who just don't want to be in big clusters. between ads and messaging people i do think you can fill a clan out even if you want to be choosy.

this is gonna be the case with a lot of clans - especially the earlier game ones. just can be an awful lot of turnover.
just have to find a good core group of players and build around them.

Fortunately, I do not have a tremendous amount of trouble staying full. We are established and have a very solid core of players, and when I need to fill a spot, I recruit actively as I mentioned above. I probably get 50% of new members that way.
I can only speak from my own experience, but my attempts to recruit on the Raid Discord were overwhelmed by the constant posts from the big Clusters. I'd throw up a post once per day (IIRC that is the ToS limit), and it would get pushed up immediately with multiple posts. Two clusters that I remember spamming back then were Oblivion & TAO.
Fortunately, I do not have a tremendous amount of trouble staying full. We are established and have a very solid core of players, and when I need to fill a spot, I recruit actively as I mentioned above. I probably get 50% of new members that way.

Good core is very important. Both of my accounts are in smaller group with strong cores and I love it.
