Can we either get Live arena open 24/7 or get it out of the daily quest rotation? I dont mind doing it (I dont like it either) but some days it is just not open when I can actually play. 

I do like the idea of it.  But, it takes way way to long for what should in most cases be a 15-30 second fight.  Tighter match making would be nice too. I think they are looking for  chess match feel of selecting champs to counter what you see the other guy doing.  You (or your openent) can selcet good champs but if one or the other side outgears the other by 200-300K then the entire selection prosess is wasted time and thought.  For the record, I have been on both side of that and I did not have fun in either case.
