I second that we need to see how he's built. Yes Masteries do make a big difference. Also it matters where you're using him and what abilities you're basing this on. Lastly, Royal Guard isn't a good comparison. RG has one ability that hits really hard based on max hp so if you're looking for who can make this biggest number, RG is more likely but overall DPS Thor will easily beat him. 

There's two things Thor does *much* better than RG, and, for that matter, most other champs as well. First, ontop of being a very heavy hitter, he also brings SPD down, and more importantly, reduces RES of the targets, making it easier to land debuffs when you can't always count on having ACC up active/etc. Second, his passive is *really* good, especially on teams with ally-attack or counter-attack.

I know Im missing something. Right now usinng him in Arena, Potion Bosses, Campaign Nightmare to try and finish it. I only played him a few days. I have have not plugged him into my Clan Boss DL team. Right now aal the Clan works on atm,

Im also once I get him fully ascended is to put a Def necklace and banner if possible he is very soft in defense and 1st to go down in arena team.. But I am farming the spider for gear now as well.

Im apprecative for any help and taking time to look at his gear 1st. I am very low on silver as I just finished Arbiter Mission,  4 Champs all level 16 gear, it drained my silver. This the best I could do on ranking the gear up being almost all FTP 1 piece at a time level by level.

I mean, that is very incomplete. Masteries, ascension, and full level 16 gear is essential. Anything less is just not worth comparing with. 

100% build issue. the gear not being at 16 is a pretty big problem, but it also looks like you're putting him in subpar gear just to force a set bonus. the stats of your gear is far more important than the set they're from. 

in thor's case, you're going to want crit rate gloves (getting him to 100% crit rate is pretty crucial), atk% chestplate, and speed boots. you'll also want to focus on gear pieces with crit rate, crit damage, attack, and speed substats as they're the stats important for him. accuracy is useful too, but as early as you are in the game you're better off not trying to spread yourself too thin.

I am unable to farm high end artifacts yet. I am forced to use the forge and I work Faction missions for materials best I can only a few factions have I been able to surpass level 7 boss and thats where the best material comes from.

As silver permits I will level his gear up got 3 piecses today up 1 level and ran low on silver.

Boots are speed, Chest is Atk, but gloves are HP%, ring is Def atm. Slayer gear is the best I had and only Mythical 6 star gear I have used what is availible.

I want to go out to those who looked and replied to my post with much Thanks, At least I know once I get him worked out he will have plenty of room for improvement by tonight if drops are good will have him fully ascended, then masteries.....Awesome help guys 

Yeah see, that's why Royal Guard isn't a good comparison. RG's A2 naturally hits very hard regardless of gear (though crit dmg is a big boost). This is a gear issue because Thor's Atk and Crit Dmg are all very low. Once you get Thor's ATK above 4k and the Crit Dmg is 200%, you'll start to see the potential.

Also you need a Accuracy Banner and a Crit Dmg Neck, which is a big part of why he needs to be ascended.

That person has been playing less than 6 months, they're trying to get help. At least they didn't make multiple threads complaining about RNG coincidences or act toxic out of boredom.
