I think a number of us are at or reaching the point where we'd benefit from a guide like that.

Feels kinda like "just use what's best". They're fairly self explanatory it seems. Eg, no point in using a relic that boosts tm when your champ doesn't do that.

To hijack your thread though - are yall upgrading relics to use to upgrade others, like we do with champs? Basalt seems few and far between.

I put a +9 Journal of Necrotos on Arbiter & Sulfuriyon since they can both capitalize on both effects.

I have a +9 Malefic Talon on Thor & Varl for Hydra.

I also think Diadem of Undeath is a perfect fit for any Defense-Based Ally Protector.  I put a +9 on Visix, who I use in Hydra. 

I will get the Cat's Gaze in another 100 pts, and that will go to either Thor or Marius.

I didn't craft anything until last Monday, so I had two months worth of stuff built up and was able to get a number of pieces up to +9, but I don't really have the materials to take anything higher than that.

Wand of Submission do be strong. (the other lego Gorecrescent is only OK IMO)

Double Coronet is also strong, pretty much BiS for Trunda in Hydra.

I gave you my short list above.  Only really looked at what I have though.

Half the Chimera stuff is just fodder for upgrading other relics.

However, the rares I listed above are solid, and will be plentiful over time.

I am not sure about Hatter's Reserve yet.  It seems quite niche to me, and I do not use an HP Nuker, so the one obvious place to put it is nonexistent for me. 

after they nerfed Aspect of Siroth, cats gaze seems the obvious choice for Murder horse

I'm mainly just going on vibes here and not gonna mention the clan ones because lol but:

most rares suck because investing resources (at least for now) just ain't worth it. 

Journal, Malefic (though this gets outclassed I suspect), Deathbell (kinda like it), Tempus (also kinda like it).

for epics I like Orb, Irethi, Elixir and I kinda like Hatter's for HP nukers. 

for lego's: Cat's Gaze is obviously insane on non HP nukers. Throwing mine on Horse & Siggy first. 

Wand is nuts. Aspect got worse since there's no cheaty effect with Horse anymore. I don't have a strong opinion on Gore, seems fun-ish.

I don't have a strong opinion on the mythics but I'd love Hilt even just for the speed boost. 

To add: I think most of it ends up being fairly linear for later game folks minus when things are bugged
