I completely agree with you. I view Ash on his U-tube channel every day and my account would not be at the level it is without him

I'm sure Godforge will be good but I also lived through WoW's first decade and I saw how many times the competition got hyped only to be destroyed

There was no innovation in mmo genre, thats why those wow killers died, tbh there no innovation to this day, every 3-6 months, depending on the game you get: new big area, couple new dungeons in that given area and one raid, add some quests for the flavour.

Now if godforge will do something new rather than copy whats already made then there is a good chance it will be popular, if its just chasing trend then i dont have much hope XD

He made a video highlighting why not to spend on Raid and how he's not spending any more for awhile, also featured other Youtuber who is going hard on the "not spending" kick.

Maybe more reason for Raid to show  him some love and do some kind  of  Interview with him like they have in past  

I mean no other CC has that many viewers with this game so what better place to do a Q&A  with a CC than Ash so the masses can get hyped  about 2025  in Raid

Just saying.....and  oh noticed this morning  with his new video talking about 2024 fusion tier list that he is  now  over 400K subs

His subs was never the debate, it was the fact that you're calling him a "money tree" in the title but shortly after your post he made a video promoting other games and telling people not to spend. If anything, his higher sub count now makes that worse. 

He's one of my favorite cc's because he points out the predatory tactics more often than others BUT that's exactly why he doesn't get a lot of "love" from Plarium. 

He's one of raid's official content creators and gets weekly resources to showcase champs and the game. I feel like he does get a lot of "love" from Plarium.

And it's you guys that determine the topics of conversation here and on the discord. Whether y'all are posting about his videos, watching them or "showing this guy love" is entirely up to you. :)

Yeah that's also where I'm a bit confused by OP... what "Love" is there to give that he's not already getting? I know he does Q/A sometimes and get's the Creator bonuses. I mean PG is talking about how Raid spends on Advertisements vs. the visiblity Ash gives so maybe he wants Plarium to start writing checks to Ash?

I really did not want to have to get into an economics  class  here. Just figured it was  obvious. Lets try and sum this up

Raid sponcers CCs to cover Raid  yes FACT.  The pay new CCs to give it a go thru sponcership but no guarantee they will continue after that sponcership.

Yes the OG CCs  who have been here and built up a base  of subs and daily viewers  get perks monthly from Raid to help create content

However 400K subscribers vs a 15K subscriber CC covering this game will equate to different revenue for RAID

again keeping this simple. more viewers mean YT algorythms will show up on players searches  more  ofter  in turn some will try Raid and some will spend .   Ash has  also built up a base of  loyal viewers and  by keeping those  engaged with his videos  helps  to keep them engaged  in the game and  even keep them spending

Very simple illustration here  but Ash makes  more  $$$ for Raid than many other sources  or CCs thru indirect methods as  examples I listed = just basics

So to not understand how ASH is  not a money tree  to Raid  .....well not sure what you are missing here

To that point yes it would be a great time to show some love and water that money tree  by doing another interview  with Raid as  has  been done in the past a few times to reach the largest audience (400K+)  and  hype the crowd for 2025

I've looked up and watched boss strats or certain Skyrim videos where people just do hilarious bugs but yeah, I've never understood the "I don't wanna play it I'll just watch it" folk. They exist though and more power to them I guess?

I agree, but then again, there are some people that like watching things like football instead of doing it themselves :P

Actually, one set of playthrough videos i have watched is games i played as a kid, largely commodore 64 or some NES, that i was never able to beat but always wanted to see how they end.

Same.  Atari 2600 in the basement was my first video game system.

Combat, Defender, Asteroids, Space Invaders....

Now I want to go get one of those Nostalgia Joysticks with all the old games loaded in them...    

5200 was just better, very complex controller and it had the newer games like Moon Patrol, Buck Rogers, DigDug and even Mario Bros. Not to mention the best game of all, Rescue on Fractalus (by Lucasfilm no less)
