+1. Very much hoping they didn't intentionally put them in like that to serve as a heavy time-gate. I also hope that the awakening missions are retroactive, though I fear they will not be (though at least they only require level 4, and not level 6). Same goes for the area bonuses.

Plenty of time gaited, particularly essence from IT.  Definitely intentionally pushing extended engagement in diverse areas of the game with good rewards and "minimal" difficulty.

you're def not wrong. these missions are just part of the "eh, kind of a waste of time and annoying" territory and thankfully not "oh dear lord why is this so awful", not as bad as rolling max glyphs or similar during Ramen missions

This is being changed in one of the next updates to count all stages of Iron Twins, if you've gone past the one specified in the mission.

So it will say something like "Clear Stage 1 or higher of Force IT"

I did shogun for first time yesterday because of missions lol.  Auto'd thru 20, lost 21.  Then manual 21-24.  Now I just have to gear emic and build that team.  Surprisingly much easier rhan sand devil.  I think can be brute forced pretty far with any high awakened champs and a cleanser.  Then on to FK1 :)

I did the same thing a few months ago:  High Awakened toons with two 3s Awakened cleansers. Got me through 23, but I lost at 24.  I have not gone back to try finishing it out, but now that we have missions, I am sure it will be sooner rather than later.  Shogun is the only Dungeon I haven't finished.
