Farm 12.3, that will get you the most silver and shields sell for the highest amount out of the artifacts. Good Luck

There is no solution. The game is silver hungry for no reason. When you have to pay to remove your own gear from your heroes it speaks volumes. 

Even if you gem heavily, and go to 25-50m you will spend it all within 5-15m on upgrades, lvl up etc. You would need to whale a lot to have relatively steady inflow.
