Probably the new  Glyphs you got ;) , you will have to click on artifact to go to artifact screen then click on  Glyphs tabs then check the new ones

I have same issue with red dot above champions logo, yet nothing within the field that needs adding to a champion. Very annoying bug!

update;

through trial and error I found if you do not clear the dots before using the glph the dot will remain. so before using clear dots first.
