We're suggested this before, for sure. I know that looking into changing the game chat is something they are interested in doing, but there isn't any plans to change the chat in the near future, from what I'm told. The war in the Ukraine has significantly affected their development calendar, especially for things like the in game chat. :(

But I will keep mentioning that we'd like to see an improved chat UI and features. :)
