See, this is a result perhaps unwarranted with having prizes to be won for the most blockades. Some are very eager to make that top 10 list. I see a lot of blockades just in my general area and all of them are on inactive n00b havens....most are lvl 1-5.
When I first joined this game and seeing the map for the first time, and then seeing a lot of havens up in flames around mine, I felt intimidated--a feeling of thinking I couldn't survive in a game with other, higher level players all around me. I can only imagine what other new players may be thinking or feeling when they see that too.
I agree there should be a limit placed on the amount of blockades at a time, per player.
I also think there should be a protective Noob Zone for beginning players to start out in, far away from the real zone. Then once they've leveled up to a fair defensive level they get moved out into the real map with the rest of us. That 3 day protection may not be enough for beginning players, as not all can get on the game every day, and not all can spend hours on the game per day to get leveled up enough before that protection goes down.
There's currently way too many rage quits and intimidation quits in this game, and that makes for fine pickin's for those out to gain easy top 10 points with their massive, multiple blockade brigades.
Currently we are not planning to set any limits on blockades. Our players choose their own strategies. Some of them just want to see their name all over the map, some of them are seeking for more Points, or want to mark their territory.
This is the part of gameplay, and it brings no harm for most of the players.
As for the special zone for the beginners, it's impossible.
All new players appear around the existing map in a certain order. By the way, they receive a protection shield for the first few days. By the time their shield disappears they will learn most of the game features and join a Brotherhood to find some help there.Icy said:
Thats what I call some cry baby BHs. If players can't have 1 on 1s without calling for mommy they really should be playing farmville. BHs that allow themselves to get dragged into petty fights set themselves up for creating more enemies than a single block is worth.
LOL, icy :D
got to agree with you, a bitter truth of this game.
