I would suggest that the devs finally fix the selection bug. Type anything, then hold Shift and move to the left using your keyboard arrows. You should be selecting to the left but, instead, the selection will keep resetting as if you selected from left to right and are now shortening that selection.

i'd like to suggest to do something about the lag on this forum.

i typed the above sentence, went to the toilet, poured myself a drink, fed the cat and it still wasn't there fully.

this entire reply took about 20 minutes before every letter showed on the screen.

The lag doesn't happen for me, except when writing the first private message to someone. In that case, every character triggers an XHR call from jQuery to https://plarium.com/forum/en/profile/messaging/pm/<user_id>/. Until they fix it, maybe you can try blocking that thing with an ad blocker. I just tried it, and it seems to work. Not sure if it messed anything up, though.

I have never experienced such lag, Captain. Most likely it depends on your PC and OS version. I hope Crowbar's tips will help you.

Version 62.0.3202.62 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Linux, but I don't think this is a browser issue.

See here. When moving to the left, I'm holding Shift, which should result in the selection growing towards left. Instead, the cursor keeps skipping from the left end of the selection to the right one.

As for the lag, throttle down your network (in Chrome's Dev Tools) and try then. Try also in a new private message (i.e., one to a user you never wrote to before), as that's when the lag happens to me.
