I don't think this issue is on the Windows 10 side, as I use that version too. But I think this is the Internet Explorer issue as this browser is not optimized for online games. 

Please, try another browser to be sure that this issue is on the IE side. I prefer Google Chrome, but a lot prefer other browsers such as Firefox or Opera. If you'll have the same issue on these browsers, please, let me know then.

This seems to have gotten worse after my last Win 10 upgrade to Version 1703.

Win 10 dropped Explorer support so please use Chrome before you get worse than lag by using an outdated and not supported browser.

This is incorrect. The browser is still supported (as per security issues that you allude to), just not developed (i.e., no new stuff).

Thanks for the input from yourself and from others....I am trying Firefox, seems to be working OK for typing in text boxes now. 

One new glitch is that all the graphics in the Pirate Stronghold, where all my troops are shown, load very slowly.  Takes a while for all the pictures to pop up.

Only DL Chrome from google dot com, no where else. When you have it, let me know and I will show you what settings to use.

Actually the whole pirate stronghold thing was totally hosed, so Firefox is not good for the Pirates game.  I downloaded Google Chrome and that seems to work so far in all regards.

Unless something changed, the next time the game asks you to clear your cache, the cookies will need to go too. That's one of the reasons I stick to Chrome as my "almost only for gaming" browser, and use another browser for all the other sites.

If you use Chrome for other stuff too, you might wanna consider creating a separate "person" for the game, so it runs in isolation of that other stuff.

The only reason I recently got Chrome was because it runs this game best of all the others, normally I was using Microsoft Edge, even for other game Edgeworld.   But Chrome runs all other stuff OK, really my online experience tries to stay as SIMPLE as possible, I shy away from too much clutter and pomp.  Normally I clear the cache a lot, hopefully avoid this game having to tell me to do so.

Clearing the cookies is the point or why bother?

If going on a trip, do you take the whole house or do you pack light. Dump the rubbish before it corrupts something else and I did mention, Flash LSOs have to be wiped. It saves going to the control panel and doing it there.

If you want to shoot down all I write, how about I just go away? You do it your way, I do it mine, my way works for me and all the folks I help.
