Out of curiosity; which criterias determine in which order bug reports are being handled?
We sent in 1 day before this tread was started. In here you answered them after a day, whilst it took 5 days to answer us - and then just a link here and our thread closed. Is there no system like first in first answered?

Usually, when you report a bug, a mod will try to figure out if it's a genuine bug or something else (player not understanding the part of the game mechanics and similar things... that's why we ask so many basic questions). When we decide that something looks like a real bug or we need something checked (remember: we're just ordinary players, so we need Support to look into your accounts), we pass that on to Support.
Now, a new, genuine bug, like this one, is likely to have many reports, usually across the games (because they share the same engine). I imagine that the Support collects them under one bug ticket and then, when responding, they respond to a random one among those that provided useful info. I think that prioritising, which you imply, is not needed here if we're talking about the same bug.
But the important thing is: your reports do get processed as soon as we notice them, which on Pirates' forum is currently several times a day.
