Old messages can be removed from the chat after server updates and reloadings. This is the game server feature, not a bug.

Why would plarium wish to keep interactions, diplomacy and achievements such a big secret?

Either you completely misunderstood the question, or you are trying to hide stuff from the community
This has NOTHING to do with chat settings and filters - it is to do with a BROKEN Brethren Court

It is a permanent issue and has been with us as long as I can remember

All other games and servers are working fine (I think) but Pirate Bay has never worked as intended

This is such an obvious bug, I cant understand why it wasn't fixed years ago
Nobody cares about Diplomacy nor Achievements, but Interactions with Presidios are important news

Most of the News for Relics and New Presidios is almost a year old, so the theory that it resets after server updates is hogwash - https://prnt.sc/ioi1uz

Only player's chat is removed after server updates, not Brethren News

Hi! I have reported this issue to our developers for the further investigation. In case they confirm a bug, it will be handled within one of the upcoming sprints.

These are the old messages. There is an issue with displaying them in the chat and Brethren Court News. Our developers will look into this case.

Ancient mesages like this will only be replaced when new messages appear ..... we have been waiting years for these new messages

There are also dozens of ancient messages about relic coves which Icy must have switched off in chat settings

Manually removing these old messages will not fix the bug which is preventing new messages from appearing

There seem to be a limit of 50 messages which can be displayed and as each new message appears then an old message will be replaced
Perhaps the 50 limit should be increased because the busiest servers are replacing news items every few minutes
