Paragon is straight up better than Arachnos. Javelin isn't so great against other players. Tournament maps are designed to limit Artillery and Homing weapons. Upgrading "common" mechs and weapons is worth it. You will meet endgame players outside of Div 1. Bots are actually pretty good team mates because they're so consistent. Killshots don't get rewards for using Javelins. The first place loser can win more tournament points than most of the winning team.

Do any mechs gets rewards for Arc or Disc? They're very strong, but I'm not sure they're ever worth the money... Imagine spending fifty or a hundred quid upgrading your best mech to just get wrecked by a Ares with Racks or a Killshot with Shotguns?
