My opinion on Voidghost

To start out, I do not have one so this is only on having to fight them. And keeping it short.

It clearly says they can not fire weapons while using their ability, so why do they still get to fire burrow beam(i think that is the one) while glitched out? Also, if they are suppose to be immaterial, why can they still cap points while glitched out? They are currently too over powered the way they are.

Burrows fired before ability activation should be firing as it was, it should not stop as soon as ability is activated. It will waste ammo

The feature of capturing beacons while Voidghost is immaterial is unfair, as immaterial objects shouldn't be detected by any object. If a beacon can detect Voidghost standing over the beacon, technically the mech is not immaterial

Well, making them be able to still use burrow beam while no one can attack them is stupid. I have gone against voidghosts and they are in their glitched mode 90% of the time I guess because of pilot implants. I do not have outlaw, and guardians are too weak to try and use, so I have nothing to use against them. It makes the Devs look like idiots with how people are using them right now. That is a true pay 2 win mech.

Voidghost reminds me of ravana from war robots. Multi-use ability which makes it invulnerable for a few seconds on each use. I can see why war robots no longer lets weapons lock into dumping their magazines the moment you click. The only one like that ravana could ever use was talumbas which wasn't very strong however war robots also has an active module which mimics the ability so you could attach it to any robot. Put on something powerful that's fire and forget like pinata before the rework and you'd get something happening like what's happening with voidghost.

But getting rid of the fire and forget doesn't solve the problem either. Ravana in war robots is still able fire its weapons then use its ability to avoid damage while it reloads gradually reloading weapons.

I said it this mech is broken by design. It can either be unusable or it can be broken. There isn't an inbetween. And it's looking to lean more towards broken.

Interesting take.. if you cannot capture control points and you cannot fire weapons like burrow beams when in ghost state then does it make the mech useless? Off-hand, without thinking about it much, you may be right. But that may also be partly because Seeker exists :-). It just becomes a less effective seeker perhaps, because it has to walk to its destination (and back to its source) instead of teleporting.

That's some way to look at it. Especially given seeker is invulnerable during its teleport yet still able to fire its weapons. But its invulnerability time is 1/4 of voidghost without implants. Seeker gets a damage boost though. They're just different mechs. But yeah I guess when you consider the power ceiling was always stupid maybe voidghost isn't a new power ceiling.

It's not actually broken or unusable just because seeker exists though. It's the nature of the ability. Usability is relative. Generally you're not going to want a mech whose ability hinders you from capturing control points in control point clash because you want to be able to use your ability to keep yourself alive while you capture them. If it can't fire weapons it's not necessarily useless though because there's gradual reload weapons. And then regardless it can still go invulnerable and still lets you control it while invulnerable (which u can't do with seeker) and therefore traverse the map with precision and speed without risk of getting hit. Most other mechs need to navigate to cover to avoid danger while reloading.
