from that initial image i was thinking "and what is the problem?".. all that I could think of was top500 player in enemy team.. or two clan members against 1 non-clan member in yours..
It usually depends on where you meet top500 player, in hangar showdown I think they always lose because like ThunderTechno0615 said they are usually SP dropers so don't have skills, just one good mech and weapon, it may sound arrogant but I'm almost sure that I only lose to top500 in hangar showdown once.. it's probably luck to have good teammate, you need some luck to win in HS.. but it's still more or less a statistics... they are not good at HS at all.. If you meet it in Tournament, it is probably the same, there is nothing wrong with it.. they will not be great. But if you meet them in normal games, it means they likely SP dropped to your level, so you will be facing one monster mech with impossible mods and weapons... well sad things :)
Lets analyse the situation more:
So he is top183 grandmaster as i understand, and he has strong main hangar.. So I assume a proper veteran.
But not the strongest SP dropping combination... silverthorn and Volti, with 2k hangar you can meet 3k which may be stronger..
Then lets look at you..
That says it all to me..
A proper SP dropper is moaning about another SP dropper...
What exactly do you want to be fixed? We can't fix you.. I think people like you are unfixable. There is some sort of issue that it's very difficult to figure out..
How is Bailahw hanger considered SP dropping. That players inventory is at 3.64k with hanger power of 1,841. New player could have gotten Blizzfrost for free. Player only has 37 battles. Yes that is a fucked up mismatch. Even if player had 5 mechs and managed a full 3.64k hanger it aint going to do shit against SilverThorn or Volit.
The other player with the 53k inventory is SP dropping to a 1964. That Silverthorn and Volti is just nuking other players.
Even without considering hanger or inventory power, why the fuck would you team someone with only 37 battles against someone with 44,258 battles. Only reasoning maybe new player is a veteren player on alt or new account.
Plarium got you Plariumiezed with that fucked up thinking.

Bro, The first player (the one with Silverthorn and Volti) is the real SP dropper. Our guy (the second player with Surge and Blizzfrost) has just started the game. He got a Surge and Revoker through Begineer Link and The Blizzfrost from a Promo Code.
The Grandmaster Player dropped his SP by taking off his usual mechs and just puts 1-2 OP Mechs with OP weapons. But the new player has only Surge and Revoker 8. His entire squad will be defeated by the Silverthorn+Gemini and the SP dropper cheat GM will be the one with 20-25 kills, destroying 3-4 complete hangars and brags about his win ratio. Shame of such idiotic matchmaking.
everyone is just completely ignoring the fact that this "new player" has specifically created new account to sp drop and these sh promo codes just promote this kind of sh. The guy is also brave enough to come and moan about it in the open.
32/37 win ratio, what a great skilled new player, i wish i was that "skilled" to start the game and make these stats. Oh wait, i dont really give a sh about my stats, thats why i dont go out killing babies and sp dropping.
Are you all saying that you would prefer Silverthorn against Surge? Ok Volti against Blitzfrost its questionable, that will depend on weapons. The "new" guy even put mods and pilots.
In short, both players SP drop, i dont see how one hangar is stronger than the other. I dont understand the logic of the moaning guy, just dont give me this bullsh that the "new" guy is so poor that he could not afford to get a 5th slot for 20k credits or whatever the price was.
Both freaks deserve to burn in hell. point

What a scathing attack based mostly on circumstantial evidence! Not to mention you've devised a seemingly new definition of "SP dropping" as a result :-).
To the OP, if you do a simple search you'll see lots of existing topics discussing matchmaking. If you're just out to provide another example, I suggest doing so in one of those threads. Secondly, your "evidence" is inadequate. Yes many top 500 players are tankers / SP droppers, but many are not.

I never thought like this because I was literally "brainwashed" whenever the devs say these are just to encourage new players (I always hated such things but that's how a game works). Some players with new hangars got way stronger than mine. I took a few long breaks either due to academic reasons or frustration with the unfair matchmaking and many others. But still, the new player had not very awesome weapons and it's highly unlikely to win using a rank 4 Surge and rank 4 Revoker against a Volti with Comtinuum 8 and a Silverthorn with Gemini 12. That Gemini will simply one-shot his Surge and all other mechs (Because I have one-shot almost any mech, except for Aegis, with my Orion+Gemini 16)
For the win ratio thing, all new players fight against a lot of bot players. In my alt account there's barely 1-2 real players and mostly 99% there will be a 1 vs 1 CPC or a 5 vs 5 Deathmatch. And all know it's pretty easy to kill a low SP opponent with ur Surge+Revoker (I've done it myself several times on my alt acc but I feel guilty for being a SP dropper at that time of grinding when my Surge+Revoker would stand on the 1st place with 22-27 kills) It's more of seeing the player's true intentions behind their low SP Hangar than to criticise everybody as a SP dropper. One has chosen all of his strongest gear while the other is just too weak to play with their maxed out gear because they are getting pummelled by very strong opponents in his GM league :)
well a grandmaster veteran surely has more weapons to pick for sp dropping..
i dont really blame players for sp dropping more than developers :) so imagine what i think about developers :)
In defense of a "new player" (evil sp dropper) i must say i was moaning about unfair matchmaking for how much i remember being on this forum..
They can be both sp droppers, whatever, but there must be a rule that player without seasonal division should never ever meet a player from seasonal division. It will basically protect newbies from sp droppers in most cases and they would fight equals (this bloody person who created this topic is although breaking this beautiful rule by creating new account for sp dropping, i need to come up with new idea how to protect newbies from such tards).
I started this game with my son, we played 10th division and we were just demolished by sp droppers geminis, savants, quashers, suppressors in a freaking 10th division where there is not supposed to be anything like that!!!! My son quit playing, he is too young to accept such beating/humiliation, we were firing and it would do no damage, we would spawn and receive a one-shot-kill guided rocket in our asses. Thats how i found this game.
I feel sorry for your son's bad experience with this game. He is very young to understand the game's motto of promoting absolute zero-skill "Meta" items. The trend must change, by encouraging new players with fair and equally competitive matches. If all get fair matches, new players can actually earn in-game resources and buy whatever they like. They don't need any beginner links for Legendary mechs or weapons or they need not wait for promo-codes which might give them a stronger mech/more in-game resources. Nobody will complain about SP droppers, Zero-skill mechs and weapons, etc... Hope the game understands our problems and fix them.
Hi there! Unfortunately, the described issues are happening due to the flexibility of our balance and the Matchmaking abusers. See, Mech Arena allows a player to combine the weakest and the most powerful Content together (e.g., a Common Mech may be equipped with a Legendary Weapon, etc), which makes it harder for the system to pair them with appropriate opponents. To make matters worse, manipulations with Squad Power may make this mechanic perform even more poorly.
Our team is aware of such issues, and we are working on their fix! Stay with us as the adjustments are coming gradually 🙂

You been spitten that same lie for years. You dont give a fuck and the devs dont give a fuck. They can fix the match making. they do not want. The claim that its to complicated because legendary weapons and all different tiers of mechs is bullshit. when was the last time mechs or weapons where evaluated if they belong in legendary or epic status?
Plus if it is all complicated why not deal with the simpler things like blocking players? Blocking players has been suggested several times over the years. and what where devs reponse? was it if remember they dont feel there is a need to or that it would affect the game? fuck that, you know how many times my 4k hanger goes up against the same people with 10k plus hangers? the fuck can i do against that ? if i could block them maybe it help out.
Thats one example of a simple thing that can be done and how the devs respond.

So our issues are because of the way the developers programmed the game so players can equip weak and strong mech and weapons together causing such imbalances and then you still pass the blame onto the player base for using features programmed into the game by the developers NOT the player base to abuse matchmaking? Of course your team is aware of it, they created it.

I think there is a solution to reslove the matchmaking, without making compromises on mech+weapon combination.
Update the current matchmaking system in such a way that it can Identify equipped mechs, weapons, pilots and mods and also includes their stats and would pair players with similar hangar strength. The Matchmaker should know the difference in effectiveness of several mech+weapon builds (probably you can integrate an AI which will have data of the performance of each mech+weapon combination in several maps against opponents. The data could be taken from the videos of Mech Arena Content Creators and other Mech Arena players who volunteer to provide videos of a mech+weapon). I know this takes a few years to be perfected, but once done it will simplify every matchmaking problem
Another alternative is to make all players unlock Legendary Mech/Weapon ECRs after they reach a seasonal division and untill that a new player could be given an epic mech/weapon ECR. Since you guys give away legendaries before even the game can progress for newbies, there are some dirty playstyles going in at the lower divisions. Many newly-joined players face very strong opponents (in my alt. account, which I started a week ago. I will have to face several legendary mechs and weapons which were given on ECRs. I was given a head-start with the Surge+Revoker beginner link and had redeemed GRASSHOPPER. I'm now at DIvision 10 in that account. But all my opponents have Gemini, Savant, Volti, Hemlock, Solis and the list of enemies goes on.)

See the problem is legendary mechs despite having approximately 200% more hp than their common counterparts at the same rank and legendary weapons having ~300% more dps than their common counterparts they still have very similar power ratings comparatively because those didn't get updated with the other stats.
The fix is therefore obvious. Update power ratings to reflect the changes made in the grade update. If this isn't your fix, then you aren't fixing it.
People being able to equip common mechs with legendary equipment is a red herring. It's only a problem because you're trying to complicate things and use the mech and weapon grades as a factor in the matchmaking. A common mech in a game with proper power ratings is just a glass cannon. So I hope you're fixing the power ratings.

At this point you can't even believe what you are saying. It's the same type of response for how many years?
