i dont understand comments about forcing us spend real money..
i am not a spender, if they make everything paid i will leave, its not going to add even 0.000001% chance that i will start spending.
If i would spend it would be purely for fun, because in my view spending means cheating the system and im here for a challenge, challenge means using shotguns, longarms if i have to against vortexes, citadels with savants, i dont care what my enemy is, as long as i still enjoy it and find playable.
I could spend on skins, its not cheating, but skins are miserable, and in battle you can barely see any difference between black and white.
I could spend on new mech, just to enjoy new experience, but im only 3-4 months in game, i have plenty of mechs to explore, im not bored at all. When i thought about buying new mech for real money i always stopped myself from doing so because i have huge insecurity in terms will i actually continue playing this game? to waste money. Unfortunately from the forum comments the game feels very insecure, because:
(a) they nerf weapons and guns after purchase, they dont nerf them during trials and release a ready-made solid product. Would you buy a pack of apples if you knew that tomorrow 5 of these shiny apples will suddenly rot? Well that is this kind of a shop here. They sell you mistery boxes.
(b) the amounts of bots are depressing me, im not sure if i will continue playing even tomorrow.. I nearly stopped playing once but they introduced new tournament with more human players and good matchmaking system. Now it looks like they are about to screw everything up again. Would you buy a car if you thought that you may stop driving tomorrow? Or if you were not sure about it.
The point B is the reason why Plarium will not see my money and potentially lose me alltogether if something bettee comes along..
These days netflix and amazon do free games for subscribers, VR has free games.. there are lot of options and from the changes they are making in the tournament 2.0 i can see that they have no vision and getting orders of their further developments from idiots who only care about new content and sales. And when they think sales they dont consider anything long term, their vision is here and now, not tomorrow or next month.
Right now despite a lot of criticism the only game mode i really enjoy is Hangar Showdown, its fair most of the time and it gives me challenge I want. It has nearly 0 bots.
I dont know why you talking about real money.. they will not make more real money because they reduced tourmament rewards, people will stop playing it and then with all bots even more people will stop playing it. There will be only top performers left playing it but they will not spend because there are only 2 sources of motivation:
(a) earn A-coins for wins. Why would you spend $$$ on 5000 a-acoins to earn 1000 acoins??? dont make me laugh.
(b) show off in front of others. Are you showing off new weapons to bots? they dont give a damn. I would spend 0$$ to compete with bots for the sake of competition or show off.
So no there is no way they are going to make money here. And it will not motivate anyone to spend. If it motivates you then i feel sorry about your situation. Good luck
