Hornets released over a year ago, it's time to make it f2p
I'd like to start this thread off by saying I like how nobody will answer my question about how it's determined which items make it into gear hub for in game resources sooner vs later. Even after a promise to committment to being more transparent.
That being said, it feels like war robots sometimes with how long it can take certain things to make it to gear hub for in game resources. I said years ago I don't want this game to be like war robots with how long it takes for items to become available to f2p without being in some gambling crate BS. Cause with war robots it ccan take over a year to be able to acquired with resources you've earned rather than needing to gamble for them. We're not at the war robots point of things taking 2 years but it's creeping up there. This is incredibly frustrating along with how nobody will answer my question about the times it takes for items to become available for in game resources in the gear hub. Nobody has answered that question for years it's starting to tick me off too because I've complained before about this and you've promised mored transparency but never answered this question. And the time it takes for weapons to be released gets longer at least the maximum amount of time. It can be 6 months or a year and a half or more it's never consistent so you can't predic it. It's making me mad.
It's even worse too because hornet would be especially useful to f2p as I've found it counters SP droppers. The status effect doing a fair bit of damage compared to the regular damage if you're using it optimally means that your damage is less impacted by the energy variant and level, so you can throw 6 energy venoms even and do a fair amount of damage to high level opponents. And it ignores mod shields. Damage can even be boosted by an implant which is maybe the only one you need for viper so you can use the remaining implant slots for the mech you have it on. Combine that with a mech that can easily evade most high level opponents while you hit them with venoms until they get statused then let them take damage and then status them again and repeat you can slowly take them out and then SP droppers often have the rest of their mechs being weak so it's easy to take them out. It's also good in hangar showdown for that reason.
I got my hornets from a credits CRE btw. I think that what the 6 and 8 energy variants should be for too is credits to make the sp dropper counters accessible.
(This post has been edited I mixed up hornets with viper)
