A.I. Bot collision

Why are all teammate a.i. bots able to forcefully push us around? It's happening every damn match, useless team a.i. bots forcing us to die, team a.i. bots playing for the enemy team. This along with the cheap laggy servers, unbalanced matchmaking and the sp droppers  all funneled into 2 modes. This game was tough to play before this game breaking update, now it's not even worth the space on your device.

It's definitely frustrating, and even more so if you're running a tank and the bot that presents you to the enemy is a petite scout :-).

I'd ask CrystalDrew but they would give some cheap dishonest reply that doesn't answer anything.. probably why it avoids answering the question.

My pronouns are he/him.

Hello! Our community is located all around the globe, so sometimes there can be a lack of online players with approximately the same Squad Power due to different time zones - that's why we use bots.

Bots in the game can be strong and have good equipment, or, on the contrary, underperform, as they don't think as deeply as real players. We're working on making the AI more advanced so that it acts more like real people.

Note that there are a few bots in the new Hangar Showdown Mode. If you don't like being paired with AI, I'd recommend you give the novelty a try. Yes, I know about its current issues, but it's still in Beta after all, and the adjustments are coming.

Besides, it's confirmed that the first Matchmaking adjustments for Hangar Showdown are expected by the end of this week!

So a.i. bots pushing us around the map and pushing us out in the open to die when we are stationary (standing still not moving) is due to the community being all around the globe? ok Drew whatever you say. Your pronouns are he/liar.

I think you may have misunderstood the intent of the original post.

Make different classes of mechs able to push others. Tanks can push all mechs, attackers can push all except tanks, scouts can push supports, supports can't push nobody. Or just add in a weight feature and with velocity you can calculate how much each mech will push another and how quickly. I absolutely hate the bots, I'm playing sniper, and I miss my shots EVERY SINGLE TIME. Or bots just push me into other snipers shots. And guess what? Opposing sniper is a BOT. Wonder how that works.

Actually, it would be quite fun. Not sure how it would function with the current game engine, but we'll take this suggestion into account. Perhaps, it might make more sense in some potential future Mode, for example, if we had King of the Hill Mode in the game, the weight would be a great addition to the Mechs. Thus, Brickhouse would be OP 😃

So Drew has been to this post multiple times and has replied multiple times and not one word towards the original question of why our team a.i. bots are able to push our mechs out into danger to die. When the a.i. bots start pushing us around there is nothing we can do but watch our mechs get pushed out into the open to die as we are STUCK ON OUR TEAM A.I. BOT not being able to move at all, just ride our TEAMMATE A.I. BOT to our deaths. Our team a.i. bots playing for the enemy team is a rotten shady feature implemented by the shady developers.

I've answered in my very first reply - it's an imperfection of the AI combined with the features of the game engine.

That's not at all what you answered in your very first reply and it says non of what you just said. I'm not talking about just the new Hanger Showdown novelty. What features are allowing the A.I. bots to lift our mechs up and push us out into the face of the enemy? When the AI Bots do this (and it happens often) we can't do anything, can't move forward or backwards, can't move side to side. Why do the A.I. bots have this feature and the players don't? Is it an intentional feature for the A.I. bots only?

This answer does not match the original question.  The issue the OP is having is the same one we have all had with the game since it was released, if a bot is behind you and has a faster mech than you, it will push you around until it manages to get past you.  This happens no matter which direction you are trying to actually go.  The only way I have found to combat this is if you take your hands off the keyboard and stop trying to move (of course, as the OP points out, this is usually too late and you've been pushed out into the open and are dead from weapons fire).  So, is anything ever going to be done about this?  We can't push other players or bots like this, so how is it they can?

Okay. If you are interested, please send me some examples of such bots' behavior. I will raise this question, but I need illustrative examples. Some videos would be the best.

Ok, so does anyone have any video capturing/editing software they can recommend to me.  Apparently this doesn't happen to CD whenever he plays the game, so I have to prove what is a common occurance to most players.

I only play on mobile.. Mech Arena alone makes my device run hot, so now I have to run a recording app along with it until I get enough video for you to be satisfied? Doing this would make gameplay extremely jittery/laggy and unplayable plus overheat my device.

I understand, maybe you're blinded by the offers, or you're not paying attention. I've been in Plarium for 10 years, and I've seen unfairness in all their games. I'VE BEEN IN MECH ARENA FOR 3 YEARS, and these anomalies have been around for 2 years, or maybe you don't know how to distinguish a BOT from a HUMAN player.

Brother I was talking to Crystal Drew, I was replying to his message where he requested proof of such bot behavior. With your statement above I can only agree

Sorry, kid, I misunderstood...

Anyway, another serious problem for those watching and playing arises when the bot has to pass. It can't go around you, and it just stands there. You have to move if you want it to pass. Otherwise, it stays there or behind you like a tree until you move. So, there are two problems. Some stay there, and they're the ones that prevent you from getting back to cover. Others, however, push you. But since the priority is improving the AI, and this would be the priority in my opinion, we should make the bots so intelligent that they can plot a different path, and not plot a path that gets in the way of their human companion.😁

Seems to be that the a.i. bots are tuned to cheat people out of winning. In my experience, Win/Loss rates are screwed and controlled by the developers abusing the a.i. bot system.
