2v2 Showdown

It's a stupid Revoker showoff of how many revoker builds you can put in your Showdown hanger.. 2v2 Showdown is trash and only for Whales and Revoker fools. First match me and my teammate were wiped out by only 1 of the opponent players before his teammate could even get 1/2 way into the map. Every mech the 1 opponent had were ALL Revokers!!! Such a trash game mode only for whales mining resources.. having everything maxing out doesn't change the Revoker problem.

Allow Only 1 build of each weapon. This should have been implemented from the get go. I was doubtful about this mode, then watched a Ruffles vid on it and got a little hype for it and my very first match all of my mechs and all of my teammates mechs got crushed by 1 player with multiple MAXED Revoker builds. We (2 of us) couldn't even damage the ONE player. Yeah nothing will change, it's just another whales resource mining mode.

So after messing with Hanger Showdown and switching back to just using my main hanger (I only use 1 preset) I was able to win the rest of the free battles. It could be a fun mode if matchmaking was fair, but like everywhere else in the game the matchmaking is one-sided.

Why was this released without any of the balanceing fixes? Again, this could be a great feature in the game, but it sucks because of the cheaters. We still have end game mechs going against mid game mechs. I was in league 2 and there were players that had mods, when only league 1 is suppose to have mods. I even tried making a lower star team, and all my mechs were one shotted in league 3. There is still no balance, no fair play. This is only making it worse.

I played it a little bit. Here are some additional observations from my side:

1. Energy capacity unused: For lower to mid end players, whose mechs are at 4 to 5 stars max, the mechs go to full rank but it leaves unused energy capacity. These same mechs then face opponents with fully utilized energy capacity, which often means at least double the firepower. My suggestion would be to show an inventory that has everything maxed upfront, so that you can at least try to fully equip your fully maxed mechs.

2. League constraints inconsistent: Even if I'm in a league with no mods, I face opponents with mods. I'm sure there are other inconsistencies.

3. Battle pairing failures: If a match can't be found, it abandons the game. Each time, that's 80+ seconds that I'm just twiddling my thumbs. I would love to play against human players, but after 80 seconds I'll settle for a game against bots rather than trying indefinitely multiple times. Maybe you can add a checkbox that indicates this preference for users.

4. Acoins vs. rewards: I haven't yet played 5 games so I don't know how many acoins are needed to play more, but the idea to need acoins itself is quite bad. Then there are the paltry rewards. I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you that acoins are the most precious commodity in the game. At least make the rewards worth the investment, or remove the acoins requirement.

5. Loss of 2v2 and 5v5 modes: The hangar showdown is significantly different enough from these modes that their removal boggles the mind. Bring them back please.

Definitely agree on all points especially 1.

Other observations, these regarding gathering of points when playing showdown:

  1. Showdown battles don't count towards combat and victory points.
  2. They don't count towards mech achievements.
  3. They don't count towards Pilot XP.

The first two should definitely be fixed IMO. 

The third one maybe makes some sense because the pilot is technically maxed when playing, but it can be argued both ways since the pilot isn't maxed when added to the showdown hangar.

I didn't see if the battles count towards regular XP. If they don't, they should

2v2 Hanger Showdown has also brought so much more game lag and poor game performance/ input lags. Stop playing around with the damn game and do something actually productive like FIXING THE DAMN ISSUES THAT HAVE BEEN PROBLEMS FOR MANY YEARS! WTH Plarium?

The mods mismatch problem appears to be gone, and 5v5 is back. Thank you for that. 

Of the remaining problems, for me at least, the biggest ones are the energy capacity one and the failure to start battles so many times (resulting in a lot of time wastage).

By the way, the remaining top problems I mentioned are from my own list. The absolute top problem, outside of my list, I think is definitely the same one that has plagued us for so long - matchmaking. Legendary mechs and weapons against epic mechs and weapons are not fun for either player.

As if overpowered revokers weren't bad enough now every revoker on every mech is maxed out.  Instead of fixing the problem you have exacerbated it.  Well done Plarium.

That's EXACTLY it. No skill required, just your credit card.  Not to worry though, Plarium is aware that there might almost perhaps just about be some sort of issue with revokers.  Stay tuned while they purposely delay doing anything to provide any semblance of game balance.

What do you think? Even though THEY'VE BEEN WORKING ON matchmaking for years (because now they have to work on the new H.S.) and they haven't managed to solve anything. DO YOU THINK THAT after years they'll be able to solve the REVOKER problem? Are you dreaming? NOW DO YOU THINK THEY'LL SOLVE THE HANGAR S PROBLEM? Are you dreaming? AFTER 3 YEARS WE NOW HAVE a pitiful and irreparable matchmaking, A NEW MODE IN BETA VERSION...

A VERSION IN TESTING... Now that they have a new problem, actually 2 added to the previous ones, what will happen? WILL EVERYTHING EXPLODE?

Let's leave aside the reckless use of AI, which I can understand; without it, they would have already closed the game. NOW, after 3 years and countless missteps, DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THEY WILL FIX SOMETHING? IF THEY WERE CAPABLE OF FAILING WITH HANGAR S... after three years of experience, DO YOU BELIEVE THEY WILL FIX SOMETHING? By now, it's clear that the game is developed this way, because the real limit is the game's ability, not the game engine. IN MY COUNTRY THEY SAY, A WINNING TEAM NEEDS NOT BE CHANGED...
