Slot D Mod Ideas
So I obviously don't know what's planned for slot D, but currently there's only one mod for it; galvanic hull.
Now galvanic hull is cool and all, but I makes me wonder what other dmg-resistance-based mods we could have.
With that said, here are some ideas:
- Defiant Hull
The way this would work, is whenever you get hit, you get a tiny amount of temporary damage resistance, that can stack (up to a certain amount).
This would be designed against sustain weapons, as it wouldn't be very effective against heavy damage single-shot weapons (like EM), or burst weapons with small magazines (like missile rack)
- Robust Hull
This would limit the amount of HP it would be possible to lose in a single hit.
So for example, if you got hit by 100k, it would decrease to a max of 60k
Same with 80k, 70k up until 60k where it wouldn't be reduced.
This would be designed against the previously mentioned high damage single-shot weapons, like railgun, but quite ineffective against sustained weapons (such as pulse cannon etc), as besides viper, assault weapons have their damage very spread out over many shots.

I may come back and edit this at some point, and obviously the exact stats of the modules aren't listed here.
Also the names are work in progress, I'm terrible at naming things.
