Experienced, I've got covered. Been playing for over a year and a half.
Professional? With the far too rapid release of new mechs and weapons, I can only assume that professional only means "those who spend money". If that isn't what it means, I'm curious what just where the bar is for that title. I'm playing 15-20 matches a day, 7 days a week. To me, that's professional (its certainally more than just casual as it takes a couple of hours a day). But my squad is only about 4600. I could push it a bit more, but in no way could I get to the point of matching the 12,000 to 16,000 hangers I saw during the "test" of the matchmaking system.
So here's the real question.... If the goal of playing this game is to get to the "end-game" and compete at a high level, and if Plarium genuinely means for FTP players to get to said "end-game", then just how long is it supposed to take? How long does Mech Arena expect it to take a player to get to the point where they can play with the "big boys"? Have they ever thought about it???
I honestly think this is something that loses players for this game. They play for a year, maybe spend a few dollars, maybe not, but after a year, they don't see any real progress in getting to the "really fun meta", so they quit.
There are a lot of factors at play here, but I honestly and truely want to know just how long it is supposed to take a free to play player to get to playing at the highest levels. Most long term games have an answer to this question. I want to hear Mech Arena's answer.
