I was recently outed as a Plarium plant, so I can come clean now and give you guys the insider scoop about Plarium's plan for the MODS. Despite the fact that they have spent millions of dollars and several months in the planning, testing, and implementation of the MODS, they have reversed their decision because 5 guys in the Forum who don't even spend money on the game are crying about it.

2 threads simply to shill for plarium. They must be paying you a lot. I'll give it to you. Most shills shut up after accusations of being paid. I am not making my complaints just because I want to rag on plarium or the game. It is not out of a place of ill will. On the contrary it's because I care. You tell people to quit if they don't like it and I agree, but I don't think they should be quitting silently. Plarium needs to come face to face with reality. And when I complain I am considering what reality is. And the reality is I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to share Mech Arena with my friends and family ever. I don't want people quitting. I don't think you should want people quitting. I don't think plarium should want people quitting. But that's what's going to happen if things keep going the way they are. The more expensive it gets to compete the fewer people play. War robots got expensive, tha's why people moved to mech arena. If mech arena gets expensive it will only be a matter of time before people jump ship to something else. Every time I think I can share mech arena with other people, some big setback like this happens where the cost to compete goes up considerably. I already tried getting people on board and that was ages ago before even pilots happened I was honest about the monetization practices though I said it was fun too and others didn't want to play.
It's lonely playing mech arena. And you can bet your ass as soon as I find a similar game that's as fun that has more acceptable monetization I will forget about mech arena completely. But I complain because of this. I consider it reasonable. But to a shill like you it's "whining" and "crying". Because you're an inconsiderate shill, paid or not. By the way people say paid because most p2p understand the impact this has on f2p and are on board they want to keep f2p around. So it's suspicious someone would come around lamenting people not paying but complaining about updates that make it hard on them fueling division between spending brackets when we should be unified.
Additionally p2p are also affected. They don't want it to cost yet much more to compete. And they don't want the same amount of money buying them a lot less progress. And they're complaining, plenty throughout community outlets. It's not like you said where it's just a few people who don't support Mech Arena "crying" on the forums. It's people who have already spent hundreds. You may not care because you could be a whale and your not affected or whatever it is that is but you need to get out of that bubble of yours or get your head out of your ass because you're out of touch and acting foolish.
The only thing bad so far is the way it's being introduced. There are some changes they have to make (availability). If the current Derby will return every week, then that would be a decent start (tho it most likely won't).
The best thing to do right now is to accept it the way it is and give feedback on how they can improve it.

But it's a mystery then why said trolling shills are doing so much work for plarium, because they should be getting paid. I'm sure plarium do not care about upsetting certain sections of the player base. But they could care that people are complaining. And why? Because they have to confront it and it's real. And you are arguing that plarium should not be confronted? I don't know. But it is possible plarium does not want that. But it could be they don't care about that either. Though they've tried to ignore it on a few occasions (they will tell you they aren't though) but that has understably caused players to get more upset so they can't ignore it. They could be upset they can't ignore peoples complaints and have decided to hire some trolls to try and push out those complaining. It's all good, guys. I got a bunch of useful mods without spending any money on them directly. Of course, I have spent hundreds of dollars for this entertaining game with A-Coins, Weapons, and currently am waiting to buy a seeker when it is on sale. I find myself playing for hours at a time---certainly addictive to want to win each match. I see many familiar players now and I've gotten damn good. My recent focus is to bring baby Lancer out with a beam and podgun. He adds a whole new dimension to the game. The mods I've set up are effective and don't make the game boring--it helps make mechs last just a bit longer.
