Life after MODS
Option A: scream your impotence into the void.
Option B: Get over it.
I choose B. For those who are choosing to get over it here are my observations after playing MOD free in a post MOD game this week.
The days of 1 shot kills and bulldozing are over. The people crying about OP EM rifles and Nomads should celebrate that the creators found a way to stop this style of play. Also the MODS give people who invest in Epic and Rare mechs more of a fighting chance against legendary mechs.
I have a Nomad with ember guns 8. Neither are maxed but that is the style I like for Nomad. Now that I can't just bulldoze with my chain dash and ember guns I've had to change my tactics. For mechs with MODS I have to stick and move until the shield is gone. It takes a little more effort to kill but I still get it done.
The shields are far more suseptible to Heavy Duty, Assault, and Barage weapons, so I expect these weapons to become more popular. That said, my average KD and WL ratios has stayed the same, if not gotten better since my assault/barage/ heavy duty mechs are performing better now.
