This addition is really a dissapointment. The developers have in one fail swoop made all of the mechs, weapons, and pilots instantly less effective unless you fork over cash. I know this isnt the first money grab, but it's likely the end for me. Sure, add mechs and weapons, but don't make what we've grinded for or payed for suddenly need an entirely new wardrobe to be effective. Modsuck.
Totally agree. Most of us kept spending money on the game. Some more, some less. And now it appears to have been pointless. Either you pay and get all the mods or you can throw all your efforts out the window. Some of us played, payed, upgraded for years and mods made it worth s**t. Shame that Plarium went too far with it. I just hope that money lusting change in the game will backfire on them as i hear that many players are quitting the game completely...
Completely agree. They now have events to win mods, but it's too late they showed me what they are all about, GREED! So sad, and hugely disappointing, others are leaving as well, entire teams have already started finding other games.

And that is the problem. You already have all mechs maxed out, same for weapons and implants. I am trying to tell, that you are no longer paying for the game, becuse you already have everything. So they have to do something to open your wallet. And here we are, mods appeared! But now every mech is broken and core skills also. Orion skill does not ignore new shield etc.
Hello everyone, I've posted a topic about the mod dilemma, along with it is an idea of community led matches (private matches)
Basically just put in your game ID and ask if anyone wants to do a private match, so you can basically pick any map you want, determine if you want to allow f2p or p2w players to access the same private match as you, and if you want bots or not. The conditions of the match are fully dependent on the host (you).

I'm sure the devs understood the risk when implementing the mods. It's up to the players who spend $$ to stop forking over cash to make a difference. You'd have to pretty clueless to not see this for what it is, so my hope is that existing players just stop spending. New guys won't have a clue unless the backlash casts a wide enough net on social media.
So, if you agree mods suck..... speak up on social and scream loudly at Plarium by not giving them another cent.
Well my idea is not towards spending, it's towards people who don't spend and want to have fun.
You could make a full private match with all f2p players, or even those who spend a little bit, and you can just have fun and enjoy playing with others.
You can make a match with people who don't use mods if you'd like.
That's the freedom that comes with making your own community matches- it's whatever the community wants

After the release of the Mods many players faced problems with overpowered bots. At this moment, new players will be facing enemy bots of the appropriate level. The level of bots for experienced players will be determined through Matchmaking after running several battles.
Hope that after some time, you will enjoy this feature as it was intended to shift the game's long-term meta, providing a player with more gameplay freedom.
