i don't even break 6k with my highest rank mechs and weapons yet seeing bots all with rank 6 mechs/weapons. won on points but wth. why am i facing someone almost 3k higher sp than me?

Devs are trying to fix matchmaking by placeing punishments (super stupid). You were punished. Another option is that matchmaking in quick games work with a delay (2-3 battles). That player might have had weaker squad and then uped it. And you were cought in that delay.
