Avoiding RM damage (tips)
For everyone complaining about not being able to avoid RM:
Use corners of buildings. Stay on one side of the building, close to but not by the corner, definitely on one side. When you get the RM notice, just jog around the corner, sprint if you have a very slow mech. Some maps also have structures that are very tall and depending on where you and opponent are standing, RM won't even be able to go over those structures.
Under arch ways. Stay in front of the archway. When the RM is fired, just back up. This will usually block most of the damage, typically not all. And you will die if the RM notice doesn't pop up.
Stay away from groups. Wait to spawn or spawn and sprint a little right away to get away from team members. When the RM is fired at a nearby teammate, you won't get the notice, but you'll also get hit. AI bots will also get on the opponents radar and invite RM fire to your location.
Save the sprint. Seriously, don't sprint until you need to. As soon as you get the notice, sprint forward and you won't get hit. Save some sprint for the 2nd RM.
Use RM yourself. F it, just play what the game gives you. Take out their RM and then go back to playing without it once you die.
Too bad no YouTubers have addressed some of these strategies yet (that I know). There aren't any that explain gameplay very well, sadly.
