idk how long ya'll been playing, but i found this game about 2 months ago and i haven't gotten bored at all.
I also don't spend much. like, almost nothing. 10$ for battle pass, then every once in awhile i'll pickup a 2.99 deal.
I got an EM16 rifle in my first month of the game by winning it in the research event.
yesterday I won an Orion in a research event. If you understand how those events work, you can easily win them, without spending cash, because most people don't seem to get or care how they work. But anyone dropping 50 bucks on an item in this or any other game clearly has more expendable cash than I. so I guess YMMV.
Maybe people spending hundreds of dollars to win the game are finding themselves left unsatisfied. i don't believe that is the fault of the gameplay; its a result of having more cash than you need, and a system that exploits that cash flow.
Furthermore, I don't expect as much from mobile service games as i do from PC service games (MMOs for insteance), because imo they're casual. Meant to be dipped into and out of for short play periods. Idk. I used to play War Robots and literally you cannot progress in that game without spending cash regularly.
This game allows me to make meaningful progression without spending more than 20 bucks a season. To me, this is a fair service.
I imagine things are different in the highest tiers of play, of course. if i ever get that serious about the game, to the point where i'm worrying about metas and shit, i hope i have the good sense to move on to something else tbh.
