Mobile Warfare - Thoughts on the Android/iOS Version

Soldiers Inc: Mobile Warfare - Thoughts on the Android/iOS Version

I used to play Soldiers Inc on Facebook around 4-5 years ago, and it’s great to see it ported over to mobile (Android/iOS). The game still holds up, with a lot of the core mechanics intact.

One of the standout features in the original FB version was the ability to conquer enemy bases on the global map, which allowed you to take a portion of their resource production. It's great to see that this feature is still present in the mobile version, preserving that strategic aspect. The depth of control over territory and resources was always a big draw, and it feels just as immersive on mobile.

In addition, the Alliance System is a welcome addition. The "Alliance Map" is a fascinating new feature, giving you a bird’s-eye view of how alliances control different sections of the world. It adds a layer of strategy beyond the typical "raid and run" gameplay found in other similar titles, such as Clash of Clans.

I’m also enjoying the new dynamics that alliances bring — more coordination, more territorial strategies, and a stronger sense of world-building. The mobile controls work well, and the overall gameplay still feels solid, even after all these years. I do have a few technical thoughts:

  1. The alliance map UI could be slightly more intuitive for new players.
  2. Occasionally, there are some latency issues when zooming out or loading large areas of the map with heavy activity.
  3. The resource allocation in conquered territories feels balanced but could use a little more transparency to better understand how control impacts production rates.

Overall, it's a solid port, and I'm excited to see how it evolves with updates.

Anyone else here a fan of the strategic conquest element in this game? What do you think of the mobile version's performance compared to the Facebook one?
