I have been gathering an impression that a number of primary leagues may avoid this first event, but where they have an alt league, set their alt league up to do the event. That way can see what happens in this first one that has so few details. Whether there are game bugs to sort out... Oh, sorry 500 Trillion Balur units just attacked you. NM. Fixed next time. lol. 

Does this event only effect Level 5 Beacons. What if you were to be holding L2, L3, L4 Beacons? I see nothing noted about it above. 

DE is what you get normally afer Balur fails an attack on a L5 beacon, so seems no benefit re DE in doing this event over business as usual? 

QQQ - Is the amount of DE that can be temporarily stored at a Beacon going to increase to take into acount the assumed larger than normal attacks? If yes, how long after the event ends will it be possible to draw down the extra DE?

The only other reward I see mentioned is unknown amounts of League Gold? I can only hope that will be enough compensation for the units that may be lost.

How about adding some beacon so more leagues can participate.

While the Event is on, Balur will launch five Attack Waves upon the Beacons of participating Leagues. 

This means all beacons the league holds every one.

And  DE is left in all levels of beacons after an attack it's just the troops that can be darkened and  the amount of essence is limited by the level of the Beacon

4th wave..

Our League Lupus Rex on server 1 on the  plarium Platform  had  also Opted Out of  this event but it seems were in the  same  situation  We would  at the very least like  the  credit of  the  event and  also maybe a  way to use all that wasted Dark essence that had no way of being colllected and used.

I have  forwarded  this issue  as  I see it's also been  reported  eslewhere Please  know  we are aware I hope  for a solution rather soon.  

Yeah so the attacks ended up being a very small amount of troop power compared to what most leagues defend beacons with.  I don't think we lost a single unit, it looks like the biggest attack wave was like 16 mil offense.  

We did get a crazy amount of league gold though...

Thank you all for having reported this issue so quickly. The team is currently investigating and fixing it to ensure that the next Balur's Becon invasion tournament works smoothly for all the players. 😉

What about the one just ended? May I get a straight answers to my questions above?

 Why  "team investigating and fixing" after the fact? I can't recall anything implemented by Plarium in a year or so that did not request multiple rounds of investigating and fixing. Any plans to improve testing of new events?

I did not ask to compensate losses. Leagues that opted out were forced to participate in a tourneyment. It is a sheer luck and exactly the reason why so many leagues did not participate that Plarium screwed DE and not a size of attacks. If we did participate we have to receive rewards. Do you see any pitfalls in my logic?

Please don't take personally "plain stupid", I did not mean it. It might be a better idea to post a link to Support for players to report losses as it usually done. Just a suggestion.

We all are dealing with hundreds of different pieces of software directly and indirectly every day. So if something is severely bugged time and time again a person doesn't need to be a programmer to come to a conclusion regarding quality of work/product supplied..... Hope it will get better. 

Few more things that I noticed:

Tourney description mentioned a 4 hour "attack window" and then a 4 hour break. My understanding (right or wrong) is that if a beacon was attacked on minute 1 of the attack window next attack will not happen for at least  8 hours+ (remaining time of "attack window" + 4-hour break). Beacons were attacked every 4 hours (for me: 4 am, 8am, noon, 4 pm and 8pm)

Only level 5 beacons were attacked (we do have few level ones). Description mention that a league has to have a beacon, not a level 5 beacon 

Just crossed my mind - can you imagine a flight control software finding "major issues" in production enviroment?😁
