Why does Plarium allow this to continue?

http://prntscr.com/9vpcnf

Why does Plarium allow these players to continue to break the ToS like this?  They have changed their name a number of times now and just get a "slap on the wrist", change their names for a while, then go right back to the same behavior.

Thank you for reporting this.

To answer your question, you're the first person who complained about it. The game has no in-game mods and we're able to deal with abuse only when it gets reported to us directly by the players.

So is it now considered reported? That's just all wrong on so many fronts. Talk about abusive? Come on. Can't get much worse than that.

Thanks for clarifying that.  Now we all know.

Please keep in mind that the support staff that manage the forums is a different department to the help desk, therefore reports on every account is not reported between the 2 departments.

A little clarification please, are you saying that posting here does or doesn't officially report someone?

[13:53] Destiny's Pimp : sounds like lil test has his panties twisted ;) tell him to get his biggirl pantis on and stop being a lil reporting b i t c h. tell him sorry i had to change leagues but your beacons will be getting attention again in 3 more days :)

Wouldn't you know it, yet again a slap on the wrist.. he gets around both the ToS violation he did and the mail filter for vulgarity.  Gotta love Plariums lack of enforcement.

Is that the same person as previous Test?

Also yes reporting here does make it official however, the forum managers are not in charge of that so it (from what I believe) gets passed off to the support team

Yes, the same person as previous, and even though he mentions he got reported, take a look, nothing has changed:

And just like the KT3 player that made fun of my wife, this guy makes fun of my mom.  Gotta love how low some people stoop to when they hide behind the safety of a computer screen.

This has been taken care of, could you please check and confirm?

Yes, he has gotten the appropriate slap on the wrist and changed his name from test's mom to my facebook account profile name. I'd like to now point out that my post on the forums was banned due to the fact of having screenshots that included another players facebook profile name.

Maybe we should all start violating the ToS because nothing bad actually happens when you do.

We normally warn the abuser before permanently banning them. Since this didn't seem to have worked, appropriate measures will be taken.

I appreciate the words of support and I look forward to seeing what actually happens.

I'll make an edit to the post while I'm at it:

Take a look at the marshal who runs the league, he obviously started sooner than the rest, but plays the game just as little.

And is it "coincidence" that all these castles started the game about the same time and are all in the same league and all have the same type of stats and inactivity?  Someone wanna do an IP check?

At what point does it become "ok" to have so many alts (if any at all)?

Thank you for the information, my Lords. The abusers will be dealt with.

Why is an IPcheck not a normal thing? Many alt-users dont even hide with use of virtual pc and have several accounts open in same browser i heard.

IPcheck should be standard in a game like this!!

IP's don't mean much, honestly... They use to do it and a whole bunch of real accounts got banned...
An IP check is just one part of a larger puzzle to find an alt. But the easiest and quickest way to find the likely offenders for more in depth review. I remember the days of the IP checks. Lets bring them back.

Have some sympathy with Plarium on this one, it's not that easy.

Some of us have families, with multiple family members playing, all will share the same IP addresses from the one house.

And even more difficult, I once banned someone from our Teamspeak (banning from TS is done on an IP basis). A few minutes later I get a message from someone unconnected asking why they got banned from Teamspeak. It turns out the two people lived in the same building and it turned out all the people in the building shared the same IP address. They had spoken in TS and were definitely different people (one male and one female).

That is why IP cannot be the only basis on determining an alt. The reason there were problems last time they used it was it was the only thing they used and you had to prove that you were not an alt. I knew several family members that had to fight to get an account back. Once you find 2 accounts that are from the same IP you can then take a closer look to see if they are being run like an alt (one always feeding resources or scrolls to the other with no flow the other direction) or if they are two separate players. On the other hand if there are 20+ active accounts linked to the same IP then I would say is pretty safe to say most are alts :p Will it be an easy job absolutely not however it is a very doable job if someone is tasked with finding a reasonable solution and given the resources and support needed to execute that solution.

Great job Plarium , you certainly do know how to sort out a rogue league that is hell bent on abusing your system , way to go
