Greetings, There seems to be some confusion regarding the use of "Mamertine" units. Could someone please explain how exactly "mamertine" units protect against "Assassin attacks when they are activated? And how should the mamertines be properly set-up for maximum "PA" protection? Thanks

you have to watch for that ability to turn on 100%
as more units of the other army type reduce the protection percentage number.

Mamertine proportion in the army*strategist guardian bonus+assasin protection activation chance (max 30%)
So a 10k army with 1963 mams will have 19.63% raw activation chance. Let's say you have +50% guardian bonus and assasin protection chance agreement maxed. Your final number will be 19.63*1.5+30%=59.445%.
Before the famous startegist guardian "ballancing" act, guard bonus would come after addition and made possible 100% protection with just maxed 30% from agreements and 1 single mam present. This isn't valid anymore. If you want 100% you have to keep a good amout of mams in your defending army.
