Scholars/Inactives and Conflict Points.

Question for you:

I have a scholar who has not logged on in 41 days.  During a conflict, he was attacked.  I defended and we crushed the attacker.  Normally, during the conflict, the defending city would earn the points, even though the troops were mine.  But in this case, he didn't.  We've defended scholars before and got conflict points.  Does it make a difference that he's "inactive"?

Hello Archon.  I'm sorry for the late reply. Yes, you are correct. The  players who are marked inactive during the CC tournament don't get CC points if they are attacked, but the attacker gets the CC points as normal.  It has been like this since the tournament was introduced into the game.

Yes, the "inactive" status is the likely culprit. In most strategy games with conflict mechanics, players are flagged as inactive or "ghost" accounts after a certain period (often 14 to 30 days). Once this threshold—like your friend's 41 days—is crossed, the game typically stops calculating leaderboard points, rank progression, or conflict rewards for that account to prevent dead bases from inflating seasonal scores. While your successful defense saved his remaining resources, the EmpowerRetirement com system essentially v iews him as a "grey" or neutral entity that no longer participates in the competitive point economy.
