I think it would be great to be able to trade out things like gems, troop returns, development boosts etc for gold or clan points or resources. If the items chest had a sell feature it would be a big plus. Once you get to higher levels your inventories accumulate so many things you won't use.
Sadly there have been many topics and reply about this.
However as it's all electronic it takes up no actual space. Also if there was sell feature it would heavily favour jarls who have played a long time and had a big stock pile of items to sell compared to new jarls.
It would not make commercial sense for items to be buyable which plarium could otherwise expect to sell. But rss might be OK - especially if the exchange rate was very low.
It would be nice to get some tiny something for all those usual runic knives and change hero's appearance items. And my Workshops would be a lot less cluttered if I could clear out the numerous gems and rune fragments for which I have no use at all. Maybe for those just a throw away function.
