I've tried a lot of combinations... can't remember them all. But none appeared when I searched for clans.

Though you do say Kingdom, you  say Guild rather than Clan, and your picture is a Pirate, unless you are now  playing more than one game, are you posting in the right place? 

It could be you have some technical issue , maybe connected to playing with more than one game. 

Can you put in the longest random name possible and see if it will accept that?

If not  then:

Though , however  dumb it may seen  that you cannot  use  a name someone else  in another Kingdom has, it maybe not so dumb as you think , unless they could figure a way round it , how would the system distinguish between two clans with the same name when it comes down to KvK  and CvC?

If a clan in a different kingdom has the same name I can't use it? That would be quite a dumb thing...

This is very logical. The situation when two clans with the same names are fighting each other in CvC, would be very strange.
