I enjoy this forum, but if they cant stop the spamers I will have to stop using it.

I totally agree to remove spam from the forum as it is very annoying. Some time ago, it only affected the weekends, but recently also appears the other days of the week, although I suppose that the people in charge of the forum do everything possible to eliminate it. It is not an issue to solve easily.

Maybe only allow so many new threads per hour by a member ... like 3 would be plenty.

Nice thought but nothing, then more forenaccounts are created.
Since the spammers always use the same syntax, corresponding filters would help
