I commend the Retreat, Large Coffer found in Items - Treasure to you (once you have completed your challenge).  You get a relocation item and a 24 hour peace treaty for 3,250 gold.

Also, once you have saved up your gold, Boosts, Huge Coffer from the same location will advance your high level knowledge upgrades more than just using the gold directly, especially if you use the boosts at the time in the week (just before or at the beginning of CvC) when speed ups are themselves boosted by ten per cent.
